Well guys I finally did my first official triathlon! It was a sprint distance 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike and 2.5 mile run. Time: 1 hour 9 minutes and change! I even placed 3rd in my division of first timers! I laughed. I was just happy to finish. My mother even got her butt out of bed to cheer me on with my man.
The swim really freaked me out. Standing across a lake looking at the finish was freaky. Such a long distance and in Hawaii it is 3 times as long. OMG! Do I have alot of work to do. But like this one woman said to me .... now you will be addicted! Need to pick up the training pace now or at least the distances. Tonight need to run the bridge at Key Biscayne about 6 miles or so!
